Majorca restaurant collapse: Three dead and 16 injured

A two-storey restaurant on the Spanish island of Majorca has partially collapsed, killing at least three people and injuring 16.

The incident happened at around 3pm local time on Thursday at the Medusa Beach Club in the Playa de Palma area of the regional capital, Palma.

The cause of the collapse is still being investigated, but it is thought that a structural fault may have been to blame.

The restaurant was reportedly packed with tourists at the time of the collapse.

Emergency services are currently at the scene and are working to rescue anyone who may be trapped in the rubble.
